An appeal from Sally Hollingshead, Race Organiser
“Due to ill health and some recent stays in hospital I am looking for volunteers to assist with the first race. If you would be able to help with any of the following could you please let me know:
• Setting up the course (from 8am)
• Marshalling the races (10.30am – 12noon)
• Handing out finishing tickets
• Clearing the course after the race
Without support these races will not be able to go ahead and if you would be able to help, even for a short while, it would be greatly appreciated.”

Special mention should go to:
- Isaac Akers – 3rd in the senior boys race
- Lucy Jones – 4th in the senior girls race
- Laura Aryeetey – 10th in the junior girls race
- Thomas Gostelow – 10th in the inter boys race
Lucy and Tom are now reserves for the home international in Scotland on 19th march.
There were also some outstanding team performances with the senior boys taking second place.
The junior girls were initially awarded third placed team on the day, although we learnt two days later that there were some technical problems on the day with the results process and we have now been awarded fourth position. The girls team did however win the Stedman trophy for the highest eighth place finisher.
This draws the 2015-16 school xc season to a close. I look forward to seeing you all in September.
